[chirp_users] Baofeng UV-5R 7 watt version not recognized by Chirp?

Paul,

IF you click on Chirp, then click on Radio, then Download from Radio you should get the Radio Box which contains:
Port, Vendor, Model. I found that you have to select in the PORT: /dev/cu.usbserial-AL01Gowc
Do this first and then when you go to Vendor you will get the list of Vendors and be able to select the BF-F8HP or whatever model you have.
I bought mine from Amazon and just got the QST ANNUAL PRODUCT REVIEW today and on Page 75 it gives less than a Sterling Review on these radios.
Some members of my club own 3 or 4 of them but I sent mine back to Amazon this morning.
I’m going to buy a Yaesu or a Mororola because I deserve the best.
