[chirp_users] Chirp on Android

Hi Gary

I've only heard of one Windows/Android device. From memory, this had two mass storage systems - one in the tablet and one in the keyboard. Windows could only be booted when the tablet was connected to the keyboard unit. It was only Android when separated.

If this is the one you're seeing, then it's probably not useful for this (or anything else that I can think of :-).

Also if anybody is interested I found an 8 inch tablet I believe it was the runs Windows and Android both. I thought that was especially unique so I'm going to keep my eye on that one as well.

Paulo, are you saying that it is not likely that software will never be developed for Android? That would be quite disappointing if so. I wonder are there any tablets that run Windows! would it work that way?

Not really. You already have drivers for SDR, USB to RS232 adapters, and
    so on.
It's just a matter of the type of radio (driver on cable or on radio)
and the driver used. If it recognizes it as an COM port, it should work.
The software is the tricky part.
