Clif,
The problem is usually an incompatible driver has been installed. Not
necessarily because you installed the wrong drive, but because Windows
automatically updated it to an incompatible driver. Visit the
miklor.comwebsite home page for the UV-5R and follow the instructions
on the USB
driver page to determine if you have the correct driver installed, a source
for the correct driver and instruction for how to properly install it.
