There’s a dual PTT Spkr/Micr available from BaofengTech.

The side button selects the channel in display B, while the top button select display A.
The standard Baofeng Sp/Mk always selects display B

My mike also behaves this way. I've heard there's a new mic that allows you to use both bands.

On the others when the lapel/speaker mic is connected and the mic PTT is keyed the radio transmits on the currently selected channel either top or bottom. 
 
On the UV82 (lapel/speaker mic is not a dual PTT) it *always* seems to transmit on the bottom channel.
 
I’ve trawled the menus and settings but cant see anything that might control this behaviour.
 
If anyone knows how to change this I’d be very grateful.
