[chirp_users] Kenwood TH-K4 programming problem.

Hi,
I have been using CHIRP since last year when I purchased a Baofeng UV5R. Since then I have been doing so successfully with other radios for friends and colleagues.
With two Kenwood TH-K4 (UHF version of TH-K2), who are supported in the latest versions of CHIRP, I have this error window when trying to download from the ht:
“could not open port COM2: [Error 5] access denied” after some 60 secs. (“access denied” is “Toegang geweigerd” in Dutch)
Using the Kenwood program MCP-1A with same cable (on COM2 and original Prolific chip) I don’t have this problem, but the said software is not as flexible as CHIRP.
Any ideas on how to tackle this problem ?
