My suggestion is to tell us something. All we know is that you have CHIRP
and a radio. It is hard to guess what the problem might be with only that
to go on.

What operating system do you have?
What version of CHIRP did you install?
What brand and model of radio do you have?
What type of programming cable are you using?
Does it require a driver? If yes, what driver version did you install and
where did you get it?

If your radio happens to be a UV-5R, visit the miklor.com website. It has a
USB cables and drivers page and a CHIRP page that may assist you as well.
