Hi y'all,
Just got a JB UV 55 radio, it's basically the "car" version of the UV 5 R, seems to even have the same channel / memory structure. Does anyone out there have any Experiance on how to program it through Chirp?
Appreciate your support

Users,
So, it turns out, every cable has a needs an unique driver. The cable I have can be seen here - http://www.amazon.com/Programming-Cable-Baofeng-UV-5R-Driver/dp/B008RZJHJU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381801314&sr=8-1&keywords=uv-5r+cable
If that is the case, one needs a driver from - http://changux.co/osx-installer-to-pl2303-serial-usb-on-osx-lio/
Thanks!

Sounds like you don't have a driver loaded for the cable that gives you
a serial device. Usually /dev/cu.*.
