Interesting idea.  I also have an unsupported radio (IC-T81A) that I'd 
like to see support added for.  As I am not currently using this radio 
much, I wouldn't mind lending it to someone who can do the reverse 
engineering, but I don't want to send it overseas for that.

If there was an alternative way I could gather the required data, I 
would be interested.  Oh, and I would be interested in testing as well.
