Using Windows and FT_Prog
http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Utilities.htm#FT_Prog you can reset the
cables' USB chips to the default VID/PID. This will prevent them from
being discovered by RT Systems software (unless set back to the RT
Systems VID/PID), but will make them show up in Chirp on OS X with the standard
VCP driver:
http://www.ftdichip.com/drivers/VCP/MacOSX/FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_2_18.dmg
I've done this process with one cable. It took less than 5 minutes,
works perfectly, and is completely reversible (as long as you write
down the RT Systems VID/PID before overwriting it).
