[chirp_users] Chirp LiveCD update

Thanks Tim. I’ve probably spent enough time on this already, and its really not that important. I already have the CD version that works and I was just trying the USB for fun really. The USB is more convenient than a CD and I thought being able to boot into Linux could be a handy option at some point, but I will survive without it.

(I know at some time I won’t be able to resist doing what you suggest !)

Ken,

Open the case of the computer and get the model number of the motherboard and see if you can download a manual for it. What you are trying to do should not be difficult. What you mentioned about the age of the BIOS may have something to do with it and digging a little deeper may help you resolve it.
