I am sure there are people here that can help you. I and my best friend both have the same radio and programmed them both on chirp. A lot of people have problems because the programming cable has to be pushed in really hard into the radio to get it to connect. Have you tried that. Once we figured that out it programmed without any further troubles.

Please remove me from this group.  I purchased a UV 5Ra beofang radio an have tried and tried to program it, with both the VIP and the CHIRP programs.  NO Luck.
