[chirp_users] Chirp not showing USB ports in Linux

The device should appear as /ttyUSB0 in just about any flavor
of linux, even the mint flavor :)

Would that be because CHIRP uses serial ports and not USB ports? The programming cable's job is to create a psudo serial port for CHIRP to use. Have you added your user to the 'dialout' group?
