I have the same radio with win 8 set up,however I have to start the down load several times before it will complete the down load. It will run several ba rs then quit. I used the same set up on win 7 without any problems.

I have a Baofeng UV-5RA transceiver and have purchased the programming cables and software cd . The cd does not work since I have Windows 8. Is there anyone who has this radio with Windows 8 and has been able to program it?
Thank you,
Don, KB3ZUF

NOTE: In my message below, I mistakenly listed the COM port as 4 with
the Icom cable. It's 3, and I set it at 3 in the CHIRP software when
attempting to connect to the T70.
