      works on both Windows and Unix.<br>

      I started experimenting with LiClipse and made a first version of
      Chirp work under Linux Mint 19 - very nice, it allows you to
      cross-search all files and to start Chirp from within the Eclipse
      IDE. So far I like it: having a whole development environment
      which automatically deals with all involved files and not just an
      editor definitely makes the work easier. <a href="https://www.liclipse.com/" target="_blank">https://www.liclipse.com/</a><br>

      Downside is that LiClipse isn&#39;t free software, it costs $80, and
      major upgrades aren&#39;t free either (I </font><font size="-1"><font size="-1">will decide soon whether I&#39;ll</font> buy it or not).
      If you don&#39;t want to do that, try PyDev, which essentially is the
      same thing: it&#39;s an add-on to Eclipse, and it&#39;s free (it could use
      donations) - but the setup might be a pain in the back.
