Also, I'm an idiot. In the process of tweaking said tests, I found the validate_memory() functionality I swore we had but couldn't find when we were discussing this previously. So, I just pushed a patch that implements that for your driver and removes the other exceptions. A small test tweak was still provided, but it was just to use validate in one other case. Can you look at and test the thing I just pushed to make sure it still works for you?
