Skips are usually stored in a separate array somewhere in memory.
Diffing the hexdumps of whole images is how I find them.

If the ID-51A is anything like the ID-31A, it's probably more than I
want to do remotely like this. I have pretty good success getting my
hands on current Icom gear, though, so I'll probably be able to do this
one in the not to distant future.
