Jens,

I made lots of settings edits and uploaded them to my pre-BFB291 radio. I
downloaded them back into CHIRP and they all compared the same. Settings in
the radio were all checked and they looked as they should.

I read in an image from a BFB297 radio and did not see any issues.

I don't see any reason why you can't proceed.
