[chirp_devel] Build directory

There was a build directory in the sources I downloaded a month or two ago
that had the support files to create the build.  The contents were described
in an installation file.  I no longer have it on my system because I wanted
current code.  I had modified the copy I had too extensively to trust it.

What build directory are you talking about? What are you trying to do and
what is happening that isn't what you expect?
